Fundraising & Communications Coordinator

Isle of Wight Youth Trust is an independent local charity, working in our local community for over 40 years, delivering confidential, professional counselling, therapeutic and wellbeing services for children and young people. If you want to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking to appoint an individual with a proven track record in building effective relationships, whose communications skills and experience will help to raise awareness of the Youth Trust’s work and, in turn, develop our corporate and community fundraising. We’re looking for someone with an outgoing personality, great people skills, as well as drive, initiative, and determination.

Purpose: To work with our Head of Fundraising & Income Generation, and Senior Leadership Team to raise our profile on the Island, in turn developing successful fundraising partnerships and raising income.

Experience: We are seeking an individual with experience working within fundraising and communications (or able to demonstrate relevant transferable skills), stakeholder engagement, networking, and corporate partnership development. You should be an outcome driven individual who understands the needs of the charity and the children and young people who we support.

Contract type: Fixed Term – 1 year + (to extend to 2 years + if costs covered/funding allows)

Hours: 30-37.5hours (4-5 days) to be negotiated

Salary: £28,931-£31,070 FTE (pro-rated)
