Executive Assistant (EA) to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

Isle of Wight Youth Trust is an independent local charity, working in our local community for 40 years, delivering confidential, professional counselling, therapeutic and wellbeing services for children and young people. We are looking for an experienced executive assistant, who is passionate about good governance, an excellent communicator, and would enjoy working within a charitable but entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented.

The main focus of the role is to:

Provide high level support to enable the CEO and Head of Counselling and Wellbeing Services (HoCW) to work effectively. This will include managing diaries, acting as the key conduit for communication to and from the CEO/HoCW’s office including emails and correspondence, organizing and minuting meetings, organizing events, writing reports and papers, reviewing and maintaining policies, undertaking research and data analysis, building relationships with staff, the Board and external stakeholders, and supporting/liaising with the Board and executive committees.

You will be able to evidence:

  • Minimum 4 years supporting senior management
  • Experience in working alongside senior management to enable them to be more effective in their role
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 FTE (pro-rated for 0.8 FTE)

Hours: 30 – 37.5 hours (0.8 – 1.0 FTE) – to be negotiated
