Youth Employment Coordinator

Isle of Wight Youth Trust is an independent local charity, working in our local community for 40 years, delivering confidential, professional counselling, therapeutic and wellbeing services for children and young people. We are seeking a Youth Employment Coordinator to:

• Coordinate the development of the Youth Hub to provide support for young people in training, employment and volunteering opportunities
• Hold a caseload, alongside expertise from skilled DWP Work Coach and Employment Advisers to get young people into paid work.
• Embed easy access to online support and well as person centred face-to-face advice and information for young people.
  
  The successful applicant will have:

·       Qualifications/training in Employment Advice/Coaching

·       Experience in career guidance, coaching or youth work

·       Minimum 2 years experience in Project Management & Line Management

·       Robust understanding of Safeguarding practices and procedures

Contract type: 1-year Fixed Term Contract (with hope this will extend if funding permits). 

Salary: Band 2b - £30,195 

Hours: 37.5 hours
