Quality Inspector

Pyroban has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our quality team. 

The Role

As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for product inspections, internal audits, data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Physical and visual inspection of purchased items according to certification requirements (i.e., certificate of conformity) and manufacturing drawings. 
  • Completion of product inspections to ensure product meets required quality levels including physical items and supplier generated inspection reports and documentation. 
  • Use of inspection equipment and metrology tools.
  • Management and maintenance of calibration of tools and other equipment within the facility.
  • Production of inspection reports and supporting documentation where necessary.
  • Raising non-conformance notes, as required, to identify quality problems.  Proactively support manufacturing to identify root cause(s) of deviations.
  • Periodic auditing of in-house processes to ensure compliance to written procedures and work instructions.
  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of quality records, and certificates for Pyroban and supplied product.

About You

It is essential that you have a quality control/assurance background, proven product inspection and welding experience and are proficient in inspecting machined items and measuring machining tolerances.

You need to have a positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude and strong communication skills. Good IT skills including Microsoft Office are also required along with strong attention to detail.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of ISO9001 and have conducted internal audits but this is not essential.
