Vertex are currently recruiting for a multi skilled Shift Engineer to work on our new Contract at Riverbank House.
Reporting to the Lead Shift Engineer, you will be working in the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all round engineering support maintaining the buildings infrastructure. You will have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Service systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
•Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
•Take lead on ensuring all PPM tasks are carried out on time.
•Provide reactive and proactive maintenance service to all M&E services on site.
•Issue permits in accordance with Vertex policy.
•Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines.
•Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.
•Carry out modifications and installations when required.
•Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers.
•Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard.
The hours of work average 42 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off . This will vary between day and night shifts - 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00. Flexibility is required to complete the duties associated with the role..
