Vertex are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor to work with alongside the HR Manager and the rest of the HR team. The candidate will provide a comprehensive service, supporting the HR Manager and Operational Managers in dealing with employee relations issues. You may also be required to cover HR Manager and HR Administration duties as necessary to ensure effective running of the HR Department. 

The candidate must have strong knowledge of employment law and previous experience in a HR Advisory role, including CIPD Level 5 qualified. 

Key Responsibilities

• Issue of general HR correspondence in a timely manner in accordance with company best practices.

• Process salary changes and contract changes, after receiving appropriate sign-off.

• Issue New Starter Forms, company property forms and general employee forms for completion as required.

• Advise Manager and employees on annual PDR process via IRIS/Staffology HR and assist HR Manager with relevant training as required.

• Provide employee information to the benefits team to ensure information is up to date.

• To support the HR Manager and Senior HR Advisor with TUPE process.

• Provide support with Disciplinary procedure, including advising Line Managers of correct process and gathering all relevant information for HR Manager,     acting as a HR representative at disciplinary meetings and issuing relevant correspondence.

• Process leavers including providing information to payroll and issuing leavers letters.

• Dealing with payroll queries and liaising with payroll to ensure all information is accurate.

• Provide monthly absence reports to Company Directors and Finance. 

• Oversee IRIS/Staffology HR, cross-checking information and ensure accurate data input.

• Oversee internal adverts for vacancies and advise managers and employees of best practice required. 

• Participation in employee onboarding and training programmes.

The role is hybrid with a mix between working from the Loughton office, home and London sites (approx.. 2 days per week). 

The hours of work average 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 09:00 & 17:00. However, flexibility is required to complete the duties associated with the role. (part time will be considered - reduced hours or minimum of 4 days)
