Vertex are currently recruiting for a Multi-skilled Day Engineer at 40 and 42 Portman Square.

 

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be working within the engineering maintenance team. You will provide all round engineering support maintaining the buildings infrastructure. You will have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Service systems and contingency procedures within the buildings and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice. 

 

With the nature of our client’s business and continued up time being a priority, means essential maintenance may need to be carried out outside of normal hours and therefore a flexible approach to work is essential. 

 

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

•Take lead on ensuring all PPM tasks are carried out on time.

•Provide reactive and proactive maintenance service.

•Provide a service that ensures all mechanical and electrical equipment is running optimum performance. 

•Provide a multi-skilled maintenance service, which covers electrical and mechanical disciplines.

•Provide a service that ensures all key performance indicators are met.

•Carry out modifications and installations when required. 

•Liaise with sub-contractors and external suppliers.

•Take ownership of tools and equipment provided and ensure they are maintained to an appropriate standard.

•Liaise with client/management.

 

The hours of work average 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00 & 17:00.
